Have Your Say provides a direct link into Council's decision-making processes and provides an easy way to contribute your ideas and opinions about key issues being considered by Council.
These online discussions offer a real opportunity for you to share your ideas and tell us what you think about issues that affect your everyday life and the future of Lake Macquarie.
Since Have Your Say was launched in 2010, more than 7,000 people have visited the site, with many choosing to take advantage of our convenient online forums and surveys on waste management and service delivery. Participants' discussions, ideas and feedback have helped shape new approaches to these significant issues.
Have Your Say is just one of the methods Lake Macquarie City Council is using to connect with our community. There many ways for people to engage and be heard, including community reference groups and committees, sustainable neighbourhood groups, focus groups, and forums. Surveys, newsletters, and direct mail also keep people informed about local issues and provide avenues for feedback to Council.
In Lake Macquarie we have a great lifestyle and assets to protect and enjoy. Through consultation, Council can make informed decisions about the challenges and opportunities we face now and into the future.
You can find out what issues are currently being discussed and have your say by clicking on the current consultations tab on the right of the screen.
